Wild Side of Cape St Francis

The Wild Side is the area which borders the rocky side of Cape St Francis. The scenery is dramatic and spectacular . Vast rock expanses, chrystal clear rock pools teeming with sea-life and waves pounding the rocks as they have done for ever. Remnants of old shipwrecks scatter the rocks along here.The lighthouse is ever watchful on this side and even if you are not lucky enough to have it in your view from where you are staying, the regular beams on the landscape will become a wonderful memory of your holiday.. Being on the Wild Side means easy access to the rocks, to fishing and to the wonderful walk on the Rocky Coast Farm. The main swimming beach will be a 5 to 7 minute walk away.

Central Cape St Francis

Central Cape St Francis is the area which is the closest to the main swimming beach. For this reason houses here are in more demand and are often more expensive to rent. A house close to the beach frees parents up from carrying and fetching as in Cape St Francis it is very safe for children to be independent and make their own way around. This area is perhaps busier than the other parts of Cape St Francis due to the many day trippers who flock to the beach – undoubtedly the best along the Eastern Cape.

New Cape St Francis

New Cape St Francis is used to describe the area north of the original Caravan Park and now known as the Cape St Francis Resort. The area is less built up that the Wild Side and Central Cape St Francis areas – more empty plots separating the houses. Being in this area does not mean being far from the beach. The 4km stretch of the Cape St Francis Bay is accessed at many points along this stretch via nature trails which are completely safe to use. As this area is elevated in places, views from many of these houses are good.
